Memphis Middle School Teacher Calls it Quit Due to Unruly and Unpunished Students

Memphis Middle School Teacher Calls it Quit Due to Unruly and Unpunished Students

Memphis middle school teacher DaNita Martin has decided to stop teaching, after what she referred to as “continued student discipline issues” at Grandview Heights Middle School in Memphis during a recent school board meeting, according to WMC Action News 5.

The middle school math teacher recounted horror stories in front of many parents and administrators about out-of-control students that actually made a few attendees gasp.
“I had a student take a calculator and beat another student upside the head,” said Martin. “Broke the calculator, and was not suspended…. Another student got the scissors and started making a stabbing motion. When I went to the administration, they said he was already suspended earlier today. What am I supposed to do?”
According to Martin, students at the high school reportedly lack respect for educators and behavior is at its lowest point there. Martin went on to divulge how she is called out of her name on a daily basis by many of the teens at the school and her level of tolerance regarding the behavior has reached its limits. “I’m called by my students, ‘Gay,’ ‘lesbian,’ ‘dyke,’ ‘sir,'” Martin admitted. “And my favorite, ‘White girl.'” “Students tell me, ‘Who the f-bomb do you think you’re speaking to?’ and, ‘Shut the F up when talking to me,'” Martin revealed. “But they go unpunished.”

One parent, Latrina Robinson, spoke to WMC Action News 5 regarding the reported state of blatant disrespect by many of the students at the school towards educators, saying, “When the teachers try to control them, they [are] even irate with the teachers,” said the worried Mom. Robinson also said she’s moving her son out of the alleged troubled school as soon as possible.

Ex-Brophy Teacher Daniel Whitehead Arrested in Student-Sex Case from 1960's

Former Brophy teacher Daniel Whitehead

Ex-Brophy Teacher Daniel Whitehead Arrested in Student-Sex Case from 1960's

We are thrilled that the victims came forward after all of these years. We are also happy that their cases will be heard and this scum teacher can have his day in court.

Read report below:
Phoenix police on Saturday arrested a former Brophy College Preparatory and math teacher on suspicion of sexually abusing several past students.

The arrest came nine months after Daniel Whitehead, 71, was fired from the private Catholic school after two former Brophy students, now adults, accused him of inappropriate sexual advances. Whitehead had been a lay faculty member since 1967.

Whitehead faces charges of sexual assault, attempted sexual abuse, furnishing harmful items to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, according to police.
The principal Bob Ryan at Brophy, an all-male school, released a statement that said the school will continue to cooperate with the police and the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office in the investigation.
“Brophy College Preparatory takes its responsibility to protect its students seriously and to provide any and all support to victims of abuse who are or have been students of Brophy,” the statement read. “Brophy is grateful to those who have come forward and continues to pray for them and all victims of abuse.”
Police were alerted many months ago in November about the allegations against Whitehead.
School officials told police that two former students accused Whitehead of touching them inappropriately and against their will while at his home.

According to police, the alleged incidents would have taken place in the 1980s, when the men were teenagers and Whitehead was a teacher at the school. Thompson said it is possible that incidents occurred as early as the 1960s and more recently.
Initially, none of the victims wanted to come forward but since then, four accusers as well as witnesses came forward, which allowed police to conduct the investigation.

Police believe media coverage led to people contacting police.
Police said investigators learned that Whitehead had invited the accusers to his home for various reasons, including tutoring and teaching home repair, during the 1980s.

Whitehead had taught mathematics, was a golf coach and was the moderator of the Calc Club at Brophy.

Denver Preschool Teacher Chantella Lucero Arrested on Sexual Abuse Charges

The Lone Tree daycare center and its parents are shocked and disgusted to learn that one of their female teachers was arrested for sexually assaulting a child.

Lone Tree Police arrested Chantella Lucero on last Tuesday. They interviewed her and her alleged victim about an incident that happened on August 31.

Even though the alleged victim was not a child at The Word of Life Academy where Lucero worked, parents were still rattled and concerned.

Here's what some parents told the local news about what they thought of the allegations:

“Obviously it’s sickening and scary … usually it’s something that is something that is a repetitive behavior I would think,” Alicia Osborne told FOX31 Denver.

“We’ve had good reviews about the school from other parents. Yeah it’s sad,” Deepa Thelakkat said.

The preschool’s director, Jennifer Blaszak released this statement:
“We were shocked and saddened to learn of the arrest by Lone Tree Police of a Word of Life Academy employee based on allegations about conduct outside the Academy. The allegations do not involve Academy students, but we are fully cooperating with Lone Tree Police and social service authorities. We have communicated with the parents of students at the Academy about this conduct outside the school and remain focused on the safety and well being of our students.”
Lucero does not have a criminal history. She is currently being held in the Douglas County jail on $50,000 bond.

HS Girls Basketball Coach Bryan Craig Resigns After Release of His Graphic Book

Bryan Craig, hs basketball coach resigns due to graphic book

HS Girls Basketball Coach Bryan Craig Resigns After Release of His Graphic Book

Craig, also a guidance counselor at the school, was put on paid administrative leave Friday after the SouthtownStar first reported his book “It’s Her Fault,” included graphic descriptions about his opinions on vaginal differences between women of different races and that, “the easiest kill for a man is through the young lady with low self-esteem.”

Former Rich Central coach Craig resigned from coaching on Friday and was put on paid administrative leave pending an investigation, according to district officials.
Craig’s 44-page book is the uproar of this recent scandal. Read a bit more of what he stated earlier:
“The easiest kill for a man is through the young lady with low self-esteem,” Craig wrote in the book. “Of course some will feel this is taking advantage, and yes it is. The ultimate goal for a man is to do all he can to eventually be able to commit and submit to a woman’s power.”
All men and women should be sexually promiscuous before getting married, Craig wrote. He describes in graphic detail what he perceives to be the difference in the color and texture of vaginas of women from various races and ethnicities.
Craig also addresses his own sexual faults.
“Even though I feel I’m beyond the highest caliber of men, I still have a weakness for cleavage,” Craig wrote. Later in the book, Craig gets personal, writing that a woman he loved in college got pregnant, miscarried the child, and then told him she was cheating on him.
“From that moment forward, I vowed to never be put in that situation, and to mind-f--- every woman I could,” Craig wrote.
Two of Craig’s former players, Deanna Dudley and Senica Esco defended him, saying he was a good mentor.
“I don’t think him expressing how he feels about his personal life, or a general topic, should mold parents’ opinions about how he’s counseling at the school,” said Dudley, a forward for Craig’s team from 2008 to 2010.
Before suspending Craig, Rich Township High School District 227 Supt. Donna Simpson Leak had said earlier that Craig “has his constitutional right to free speech.” Leak said she had known about the book and its contents for about a week.

Ken Levinson, a Chicago lawyer who handles freedom-of-speech cases among others, agreed with Leak about the free speech issue.
“He certainly has a First Amendment right, generally speaking, for free speech and to publish his opinions,” Levinson said. “Where there could be a balancing issue or test, (depends) on what he does with the book. It would be one thing if he published the book in his private life, and it would be another thing if he spoke about the book to 8-year-olds or distributed it at school,” Levinson said.
We hope this turns in the favor of ridding him of the school system: Depending on the terms of Craig’s employment, teaching or discussing anything from his book in class might be a violation of his contract, Levinson said.

What? This is totally inappropriate for any school educator. Forget the rights and junk like that: what about your reputation? Apparently, many students, male and female, agree he should be able to write what he wants and make a living doing it. Unbelievable!!
