Brooklyn High School Teacher Arrested For Having 3-Year Relationship With StudentA Brooklyn high school teacher was pulled from her classroom and arrested after a teenage female student said they shared a three-year “intimate relationship,” education officials and law enforcement sources said.

The allegation of a racy relationship between Jankowska and the student surfaced after Jankowska told a school principal that the girl had been posting threatening messages on her Facebook page, sources said.

The student then told a school counselor that she and Jankowska began a relationship in 2008, when the girl was 13, law enforcement sources said. The student said the relationship ended in October 2011, sources said.
Jankowska — who taught English at the Williamsburg high school from 2008 until last fall, when she switched to English as a second language — was promptly suspended, education officials said.This was a long relationship between the teacher and student. We are surprised no one knew or found out about it before now. The teacher must have worked very hard to convince the student to keep things quiet or provided the student with 'things' in order to maintain the relationship from getting out. Either way, the teacher is dead wrong for having a relationship with this young female student and she needs to pay dearly for her actions.
“This violent sexual predator faces the remainder of his life behind bars,” Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes said. “This should serve as a clear message that those who would sexually abuse children in this county will be punished severely.”Yegutkin became a close friend of the victims’ family after attending the school where the victims’ father worked, and visited their home frequently. The victims did not attend Yegutkin’s school, the prosecutor’s office said.
The head of a northern Virginia private school says the school is "deeply disturbed" by the news that a former longtime teacher has been charged with sexual assaults involving four of his students from the 1960s.
Fairfax County Police on Friday arrested 73-year-old Christopher Kloman of McLean after a yearlong investigation.
Police opened the case after receiving a report from a 55-year-old woman who was a student of Kloman's at the Potomac School. She came forward after running into Kloman at the Washington Episcopal School, where he was teaching at the time. Police say their investigation found three other alleged victims, all girls ages 12 and 14 when the alleged incidents occurred between 1968 and 1969.
"We are deeply disturbed by this news and our hearts are with the entire Potomac community, past and present, as we work through this difficult time," wrote Potomac School head Geoffrey Jones in a note to parents Friday that was reported by The Washington Post.
Kloman worked at the Potomac School from 1965 to 1994, police said. The school confirmed he was both a teacher and an administrator and said in a statement Saturday that it is cooperating with Fairfax County's investigation.
A message left at a telephone listing for Kloman's home in McLean was not immediately returned Saturday. Kloman is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, and the jail said he is set to appear in court Monday.
The Potomac School was founded in 1904 and has students in kindergarten through 12th grade. Approximately 1,000 students attend the school.
Neely was taken into custody last week, police told South Florida's WPTV, after her husband tracked her location using the GPS on her phone and found her getting it on with the teenager in a nearby parking lot.
Neighbors reported the incident to the police after the teen showed up at a nearby home later that day and said he'd been kicked out of the house "because he had sex with Amie."
A representative for the Community Christian Academy in Stuart, Fla., where Neely was a teacher prior to the incident, told the Daily News on Wednesday that she is no longer employed by the school.
“Community Christian Academy is aware of a legal situation involving a teacher and we are cooperating with law enforcement officials who are dealing with this as an ongoing investigation," Norma Hammond, administrative director for the school, told WPTV in the wake of Neely's arrest. “For that reason we have no further comment at this time. We will be issuing a more detailed statement after meeting with school board and church leadership.”
"But you know what? She is a human being," parent Terri Gillam told WPBF 25 News. "And we all are vulnerable at different times in our life. You know, and that's sad. It's sad, because evidently, low self-esteem, you never know what goes on in people's homes. It's sad. And that's what I feel like, and that's what I pray for -- for her."
“...We arrested Dominic L. Madison, a teacher at Treasure Coast High School,” Sheriff Ken J. Mascara said in a prepared release. “He faces 39 charges of sexual activity with minors and one count of using a child in a sexual performance. He is being held at the St. Lucie County jail under $1,535,000 bond.” They also arrested Janifer Thomas, 35, described by detectives as Madison’s girlfriend. She is charged with being an accessory after the fact and failure to notify law enforcement of knowledge of a suspect of child abuse.
“We believe there may be additional victims,” Mascara said. “I want to ask parents of Mr. Madison’s female students to talk with their daughters. I encourage victims to contact sheriff’s detectives at 772-462-3230.” The “sexual performance” charge relates to a sexual encounter recorded by Madison and stored on one of his computers, Mascara said. Detectives seized several of Madison’s computers and storage devices, which detectives are examining for additional evidence. According to an arrest affidavit for Thomas, deputies went to a home in the 1300 block of Southwest Amboy Avenue, Port St. Lucie and spoke with a man who Thomas had contacted earlier in the day. He told deputies that Thomas had told him she found a video on her home computer around 5 p.m. of Madison having sex with a minor.
The 10 participating groups include the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, the YMCA and Girls Inc. They will hear presentations in Atlanta from some of the nation's top experts on child sex-abuse prevention. They also will discuss how uncorroborated information about potentially threatening adult volunteers might be shared among youth groups.Again, this is preposterous!! We are so sick of organizations with their filthy intents to abuse children and ruin their lives forever because they think they can without punishment and remorse! While their 'perverted files' now reveal over 1200 possible suspects, the organization needs to be shut down NOW!!! Something has to be done!!
Investigators also have found evidence of other encounters between the two that cannot be prosecuted because of the statue of limitations. Police say the alleged victim never had Smith as her teacher. Smith was booked into San Diego Central Jail on 14 counts of sexual contact with a minor. He is being held on $350,000 bail.
Officials believe that Smith, who has a wife and two children, had sexual relations with at least one other underage student who has not been identified at this time.
Though the court heard the teacher did not coerce the three students into the sex, a Michigan law states that teachers cannot have sexual relations with students.
His attorney Robert Mullen pointed out that Tomblin had been a steadily employed teacher who had no criminal history and who pleaded guilty to spare his victims the emotional ordeal of testifying during a trial.Tomblin tried to state the victims as having wanted sex with him; as if this was a license to infect innocent people without their knowledge. His defense attorney stated Tomblin said:
'He didn't stalk or coerce any of the victims. In the words of one of the victims, they wanted something to happen.'
The three teens, aged 16, 17 and 18, testified during a preliminary examination in June.
One teen said he had sex with Tomblin in the teacher's office. Another said the sexual acts occurred at his sister's house and in a car parked close to the school.

The charges arose after one teen's mother contacted police.
“It was decided by the Troop Committee, with the support of the parents of the boys that were involved, and the Pastor of the Church that no legal action take place,” the troop committee member wrote in a letter to the national office of the Boy Scouts of America more than a year later.Though never criminally charged, the former Haverhill scout leader was barred from further participation in scouting. The Boy Scouts denied his application to be a scoutmaster in Rochester, N.Y., four years later because his name had been placed in scouting’s ineligible volunteer files – essentially a confidential blacklist created more than 80 years ago to protect scouts from known or suspected abusers.
“The reason the files were kept in the first place were to prevent recidivists from abusing scouts in one location and relocating across the country and rejoining scouting and hurting children again,”report said.
“That (Haverhill case) shows that in at least that instance, the safeguards were successful. They did what they were supposed to do. This individual was flagged and was prohibited from further participation in scouting,” he said.
“The Boy Scouts of America have been fighting pedophilia for years and have been getting better at it. Today, it’s a different world, and the reason is different: we have gotten better over time of isolating these folks and preventing them from continuing their abuse. The standards of today far exceed the standards of 30 or 40 years ago,” he said.Our take: We still don't understand why they had to hide everything from the public. "We learned is we didn't want to take a chance on [them]," said Ron Book, president of Lauren's Kids, a nonprofit that helped spearhead the legislation.
"Applying Penn State to the old Florida law, would Mike McQueary had to report what he saw?" Book said, referring to the former Penn State assistant coach who witnessed Sandusky raping a boy in the school's showers.
"The answer was he would not have."
Previously, a person who called the state abuse hotline to report a suspected incident involving a child would have been asked to call law enforcement if the suspected predator was not a care taker or parent of the child, Book said.
"What we've learned is it's hard enough to get a victim or observer to call once," he said.
Under the new law, witnesses, like McQueary, or people who suspect abuse, are required to call a centralized hotline run by the Florida Department of Children and Families or face third-degree felony charges and a $5,000 fine.
The Florida Department of Children and Families reported a 25 percent increase in calls since the law went into effect on Oct. 1.We always wonder why it takes a major case and the abuse of so many victims to make changes in laws? Harris is charged with transporting a hazardous material --the smoke grenade -- and faces up to five years in prison.
Though having all of these items and the gear he was wearing was suspicious enough, it was what they found on his computer that is even more disturbing.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Melissa Mills told the court that pornography of a disturbing nature was found on Harris' computer, some of it a type of Japanese anime depicting the torture of young children. Other pornography included live action video clips with titles such as "School Girls in Cement."
Harris worked as an English teacher at a Japanese middle school and had regular access to children.
"We think that the public - even those members of the public who register the lowest scores on the sensitivity index - do not expect their judges to be conducting photo sessions featuring the judicial penis and then to be sending the photos over the electronic airwaves to another person," the court wrote in a 19-page unsigned opinion.Judicial system investigators began looking at Singletary after the incident became public and he resigned earlier this year.
The Court of Judicial Discipline, however, said it did not believe Singletary forgot about the photos: "Taking photographs of one's erect penis is a 'memorable event.' We also mention that they weren't stored in [Singletary's] phone for nothing - they were stored in his photo for re-viewing. What else? "A judge who intentionally grooms his penis for photography, and then intentionally photographs his penis for the purpose of display to others, had better remember that the photographs are in his phone lest they 'slip out' at some inopportune . . . time under circumstances which are likely to offend another person," the court added.Here's how the incident occurred which is stated to be on camera. The accuser is considered the 'opinion': The alleged incident is said to have occurred on Dec. 19, 2011 incident between Singletary and the 22-year-old female cashier occurred between 5:19 and 6:43 p.m. Singletary was night judge at the court at Eighth Street and Spring Garden Avenue.

The opinion says Singletary began scrolling through photos on his cellphone. Between a photo of him with a female friend and another of his head were the two penis photos.Before his election, Singletary had accumulated $11,500 in traffic violations, and his driver's license was suspended until 2011. He later paid the fines, and his license was restored.
A popular Zumba instructor has pleaded not guilty to charges that she ran a brothel from her fitness studio and secretly filmed illicit encounters with clients.Bangor Daily News reported:

Miss Wright, of Wells, Maine, is alleged to have taped herself having sex with men who were unaware they were being filmed and kept meticulous books suggesting she made as much as $150,000 from prostitution. Police have issued summonses to Wright’s alleged 150 customers, some of whom are well-known, who visited the brothel at her Pura Vida studio in Kennebunk
Some clients were expected to be charged next week after police conducted a five-month investigation into the illegal goings-on at the gym. Anonymous tip-offs led police to the scandal occurring after hours at Pura Vida, according to the Bangor Daily News. “I am a dedicated professional and enjoyed being a guidance counselor,” she told The Post. “I did my job well, and my students and parents thought very highly of me. I would love to return to the DOE and resume the career I have chosen to help and guide students.”Well, we can understand if its true that the photos are resurfacing without her permission that this would be an issue. If she has left that life behind her and has proven this by her work as an teacher, then she should not be punished. But had she really left that kind of life completely?
After a quick search on the Interwebs, however, it appears that the counselor was also known as Tiffani Webb and was talking about modeling as recently as 2008. Writing for The Black Urban Times, she did admit that she was finished with modeling work and wanted to serve as a role model for young women who aspired to enter the profession. “We are moving forward with disciplinary charges against Christian Del Re and will be seeking his termination,” said Education Department spokeswoman Connie Pankratz. “He has been reassigned and is no longer at the school.”The investigation begin in January when a student came forward to a staffer at school and told them of a possible relationship with a classmate. In fact, other students had witnessed some questionable behavior of Del Re.
“Del Re said that he never touched” the student, according to Condon’s report.The report further states:
Investigators examined Del Re’s cell phone and found he had texted the girl 1,442 times between Nov. 2, 2011, and Jan. 31, while the student texted him 1,477 times. It averages out to 1.3 text messages per hour between them for 91 days.
When they weren’t texting, they were on the phone with each other. Numerous phone calls between them occurred after midnight and ranged from 49 to 163 minutes, officials said. On at least two occasions, he called her about 3 a.m.
Del Re, who married his high school sweetheart, Gina, in 2005, claimed he was just helping the student cope with problems. He told investigators she “would talk to him about problems at school, problems with other students and problems with her boyfriend,” according to Condon’s report.It's apparent Del Re has the backing of many of his students as they support him 100%:
A dozen students interviewed outside the school Tuesday claimed Del Re is being railroaded.
“He’s a good man and he was always very involved with the school and very helpful. He knew how to offer students advice,” said senior Carolina Guarrella.
Guarrella and other students insisted the student who first squealed on Del Re had a beef with the educator’s alleged paramour.
“There could be 3,000 text messages, but it doesn’t mean there was anything sexual,” Guarrella said. “I don’t believe it.”We are not sure of the exact relationship that has gone on with the student and principal but we do believe there were too many texts exchanged between them.
According to court papers, Conde told agents, "that he downloads pornographic materials from the internet, and that we would find child pornography on an external hard drive attached to his computer. They depict minors engaging in sexually-explicit conduct."Conde worked at Bronx House for nearly one year, caring for children ages five through twelve. Officials say he passed a background check. "He was fingerprinted and put through a central registry and cleared. He was clean," the executive director told Eyewitness News.
“Between 1977-1980 I was a child prostitute associated with a tri-state (NYC-NJ-Pa) pedophile ring. (During the) summer of 1979, I was brought to the State College area by Ed Savitz for the purpose of child prostitution with Jerry Sandusky at a Second Mile fundraiser. Due to time constraints, Sandusky became unavailable and I was introduced to Phil Foglietta by Ed Savitz & Jerry Sandusky. Foglietta was introduced to us as Coach Phil who coached youth football in NYC. Foglietta agreed to pay $200.00 for child sex and followed us back to a Philadelphia hotel. Myself and another child prostitute then engaged coach Phil in child sex.”Coach Phil” was never charged with any crimes during his 25 years at Poly Prep, in 2004 but ten former students filed a lawsuit, “alleging the school failed to protect them from sexual abuse at the hands of Foglietta,” reports KTLA.
“I’m not surprised there was another case related to [Sandusky]….that there was a tri-state ring,” said Carol Smolenski, Executive Director of End Child Prostitution and Trafficking (EC-PAT USA). “As all of these cases are showing, it’s respectable people, well-paid businessmen, or so many people in positions of power that are exploiting children.”See more on the video report below:
Prosecutors are alleging that the abuse occurred over a six-month period and ended last week inside a PS 208 classroom. Prosecutors say that Sosa groomed the girl’s entire family, became friends with her mother and bought an iPad, Nintendo game and sneakers for the girl. He also bought items for the girl’s older brothers.
Sosa is married and the father of a 5-year old. He pleaded not guilty to two felony counts of sexual conduct against a child and sexual abuse. He is also being charged with a misdemeanor count of acting in a manner to injure a child under 17. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
“The defendant instructed the child to log in to the defendant’s Gmail account and send him emails stating in substance: I LOVE YOU, I MISS YOU. MY HEART BELONGS TO YOU,” the complaint states.
Sosa’s defense attorney, Virginia LoPreta says that Sosa is going to defend himself vigorously and that the evidence was circumstantial.
“I did not hear any corroboration of anything other than a relationship” – with the family, she said.Source
Isuru Pasan Perera, 31, of Marietta was arrested for multiple sexual offenses against a minor.
Perera was taken into custody without incident on Saturday, Sept. 8, and is being held without bond at the Cobb County Jail, according to Marietta Police.
The original incident occurred in June of 2010 when the female juvenile victim attended the Champion Softball Complex located at 505 Commerce Park Drive, according to Marietta Police.
Perera, who was the victim’s coach/trainer, used his position to "coerce and intimidate the victim to commit multiple sexual acts against her," Police said. Numerous sexual assaults occurred over a two-year time frame. Every assault occurred in Perera’s office at the complex, Police said.See Marietta Patch for more on this story.
On Wednesday, the school board considers whether to approve a formal resolution with the Department of Education's Office for Civil Rights. The five-year plan posted on the school district's website focuses initially on 38 of the district's 86 schools. Its goals include an overall reduction in out-of-school suspensions, as well as the suspensions of African-American and special education students, who are far more likely to be sent home from school than their peers. If the resolution is approved, the feds will halt their investigation before they conclude whether the district has, indeed, engaged in discriminatory student discipline practices.
" ... it is critical that students learn and are reinforced in appropriate behavior so that they are engaged in the District's education program, rather than its disciplinary system," the resolution reads.
The study asserts the school district needs "more resources to improve discipline in their schools, more administrators would prioritize counselors, staff training, conflict-resolution programs, support services and rehabilitation services, than those who would opt for more security staff and measures." -Reported by EdSource.The survey, released Monday, found that two-thirds of high school students, and 42 percent of middle school students, who are suspended are forced to stay out of school three or more days. A minority, or 22 percent, of administrators responding who had expelled students said they wish state law offered them an alternative.
